The purpose of the event is to raise awareness and funds for The First Tee of Greater El Paso, which offers programming at Ascarate Golf Course and Underwood Golf Course (part of its Military Affiliate Program) and is expanding to El Paso’s Butterfield Trail Golf Course and Santa Teresa Country Club in New Mexico. First Tee programs are offered to children ages 5 to 18 and include life skills and the 9 Core Values (courtesy, judgment, honesty, integrity, sportsmanship, respect, confidence, responsibility and perseverance) in each golf lesson.
